While there are reputable, skilled, and talented shops apart from ours in the area there are also some that take no pride in their craftsmanship. Below are some photos showing examples of common problems with poor stone work.
Note the chipping in the seam, poor color match, and lack of blending at the bottom of the seam.
The glue color shown here serves to accentuate the seam rather than hide it.
The gap shown here is simply unacceptable.
The sink centerline and cabinet centerline should be the same.
Note the excess silicone on the wall, between the lower top and the wall, and between the lower top and riser.
The seam shown here is quite wide and chipped, especially toward the front edge of the countertop. It then extends into the backsplash making it that much more of a focal point.
